Do not wash cord of sweatshirt jacket - pull out!

Who does not know that: When buying the drawn in hood / collar thick drawstring is an absolute eye-catcher - after the first wash is not much to see, except the fact that the (mostly) cotton drawstring, so greatly shortened and twisted in itself - often a pity!

Since I came up with the idea, alternatively to the existing, two new cords in different colors and differently turned to sew itself and to provide with SnapPap ends *, I have after the purchase of the last sweatshirt jacket the new super terrific, because thick cord through carefully pulled out the eyelets, put them aside, washed the jacket (for the sake of bleeding alone, this was worth it ...) and pulled the cord back in again. The result: an eye-catcher as after the purchase!

Tip 1:

If the rope is visible in the middle area outside, when pulling out and later reinserting exactly pull the rope to the middle of each of these eyelets and threading again: So each thickened end (imitation leather or?) Must be threaded through two eyelets and not over the entire length through a total of four eyelets.

Tip 2:

If you want to sew the cord yourself, you should buy generously in length and wash the rope before processing. Then first determine the desired length.

Tip 3:

Instead of using SnapPap for the cord ends, you can also use artificial leather or leather scraps.

* SnapPap is a so-called washing paper, a paper in leather-opti, made from a mixture of paper and plastics. It is machine washable at 30 degrees. It is usually half a millimeter thick and can be wonderfully used especially for bags, cases .... You can sew it with a normal sewing machine, emboss, describe, print, emboss, punch, color and, above all, cut with a normal pair of scissors! SnapPap comes in several shades. Alternative products are already available in silver, copper and gold!

If you wash SnapPap before processing in the washing machine, you can then crumple it more or less, let it dry and achieve a great leather look!
