Fine apple cocoa cake from the plate

Fine apple cocoa cake from the plate. This is one of my favorite recipes - a very light and juicy sheet cake that's light and also made quite fast.

You need for a baking sheet (about 28 x 40 cm in size):

ingredients

  • 200 g butter
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 pck of vanilla sugar
  • some grated lemon peel
  • 300 g cake flour (Type 550)
  • ½ pck of baking soda
  • 4 to 5 apples
  • to sprinkle ½ tsp cinnamon and 2 tbsp sugar

preparation

  1. With the hand mixer, mix the soft butter with the sugar to a frothy mass. Gradually, the eggs are added and each stir well.
  2. Then the cocoa powder, the vanilla sugar and the grated lemon zest are slowly stirred into the butter mass. The flour is mixed with the baking powder, sifted and stirred with the butter mass.
  3. Now the oven is preheated to 200 degrees top / bottom heat.
  4. The apples are washed, if you want, they can peel, but they are not essential (I did not). Then cut them into quarters, remove the cores, cut the quarters into small pieces and mix the pieces of apple with the dough.
  5. The baking sheet can be greased or laid out with baking paper, then spread the dough evenly over it and sprinkle it finally with the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Now go off with it in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

Finally, a tip

  • Instead of apples you can also use pears, plums, apricots or other fruit or berries.
