Fortune cookie made of felt

Fortune cookies made of felt are definitely a nice souvenir on New Year's Eve. They are also great for wrapping money for different occasions great.

For a birthday, I gave a donation pot with friends as a gift in cash. Since many people were involved, I was looking for a way to package the different bills beautifully. For example, fortune cookies, which were loaded with banknotes, ended up in felt pots.

How to do it:

I used felt with a thickness of 3 mm for the felt biscuits. If the felt is too thin, the shape of the biscuits will not last. Draw circles on the felt plate with a compass. They should have a diameter of approximately 8.5 cm. Then cut the circles with scissors or a cutter along the lines. Then fold the circle into a semicircle and make a mark about 1.5 cm below the straight line from the middle of the straight fold. From there sew together the superimposed halves over a length of 5-8 mm.

Now comes the folding technique: The semicircle lies with the round side down in front of them. Turn the right upper tip up and fold the side back. Repeat the same with the other side and the lucky charms are finished.

This is needed:

  • Felt plate (A4, 3 mm thickness)
  • Needle and thread or sewing machine
  • compasses
  • Scissors or cutter
