Hardened pretzels from the day before like new
Leftover hard baker pretzels from the day before, you can for about 10-15 seconds in the microwave as freshly baked back. These should then really be eaten ;-)
Whether even older pretzels still participate in this torture, eludes my knowledge.
We even collect rock-hard pretzels for weeks in a paper bag and make pretzel dumplings if necessary - just like in grandma's time. Formulation is then just like bread dumpling dough just with pretzels (without the Salzbewurf course).
