Herbal signs make themselves sticks

Kindergarten children like to carve. Only the mothers get nervous when dealing with the right carving knives. A peeler is easy to handle for children, for the beginning safer and thus can carve great pegboards for a herbal or vegetable patch.

Originally the idea with the vegetable peeler was born during a holiday. I did not have a pocket knife with me, so the peeler had to serve. And that's how kids get along great. So a series of signs, for the herb garden. Here, sticks are collected first. The best of soft woods such as willow. The peeler is then peeled off the bark and carved a smooth surface. The name of the herbs is then written on this surface with a black waterproof pen. Because the carving was so much fun, I ended up with so many badges that a few new herbs had to be planted.

This is needed:

  • Sticks (willow wood)
  • peeler
  • Black waterproof pen
