Homemade lemonade powder
If you like experimenting in the kitchen, you may feel like making this extract for home-made lemonade.
Ingredients:
- 12 lemons with edible peel
- Fine table sugar, about 500 g, maybe a little more - lemons are different in size.
- Paper cups, a muffin form.
That is how it goes:
- You fill a bowl with 100 g of the sugar.
- From 6 lemons rub the peel on this sugar.
- Then you squeeze the juice from the 12 lemons and pour it over the rubbed off.
- Mix so much sugar under the citrus liquid until you get a thick porridge.
- The porridge is heated in a saucepan with constant stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- You put out a muffin dish with paper cups, pour the hot sugar mass into it. These are allowed to dry for a few days. Depending on the weather it takes 3 - 5 days.
- Then you squeeze the lemon sugar mass from the molds and can crush them either in a mortar with pestle or in the mixer to powder.
- This powder comes in a screw jar. If you want a glass of lemonade, dissolve 1 - 2 teaspoons of it in a glass of water.
Tastes very good, no chemistry - and inexpensive!
