Homemade potato chips

I cut raw washed potatoes into slices as thin as possible, then I throw them into a bag (for example, a butter bag made of clear film). Then I take a bowl with a lot of oil, e.g. Sunflower oil (about 1 glass, so 200 ml, per 1 kg of potatoes).

In the bowl of oil are the spices on which you feel like

about 5 average potatoes about:

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tsp weak pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon paprika powder
  • If you like oriental chips, then 1 teaspoon curry powder

preparation

  1. And then you can clean, what you still feel like ... I like to take some garlic powder (a very weak teaspoon) (or turmeric or rosemary) everything tastes delicious and tasting is fun, so you can also take several bags and the potatoes season different.
  2. Then put the mixed seasoning oil in the bags with the potato slices and knead well.
  3. Then spread on a baking tray (I always do it on baking paper, then I do not have to rinse afterwards) and bake at 200 degrees (circulating air) for about 15-20 minutes, until the chips are crisp and brown.
  4. If you have cut very thin, a higher heat goes (220-250 degrees and 10-12 minutes)
  5. If you have thick slices, prefer a lower heat (180 degrees) and a few minutes longer.
  6. Just look in the oven and take the things out if they look good. If too many are superimposed, you have to "stir" briefly and leave the things again 5 -7 minutes in the tube.
