Juicy apple pie with semolina pudding and sprinkles

You love semolina pudding and apple pie? Then this recipe is just right for you, because it combines both components in a juicy apple pie. Rounded with sprinkles and cinnamon, the cake is a real treat!

Ingredients dough

  • 400 g of flour
  • 70 g of sugar
  • 70 g of butter
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 21 g of fresh yeast

Preparation yeast dough

First, the yeast is dissolved in lukewarm milk. Then knead all the ingredients together until the dough comes off the bowl. Afterwards the dough is left for about 30 minutes.


Ingredients semolina pudding

  • 500 ml of milk
  • 60 g semolina (I take soft wheat semolina)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Cook the semolina pudding

Semolina and sugar are stirred into the boiling milk. Simmer the mush for about 8 minutes, stirring constantly so that there are no lumps and nothing burns. Now the porridge is set aside and continues to be stirred again and again. The porridge should be spreadable. If it is too firm, you can stir in a little more milk.

Ingredients crumble

  • 160 g of flour
  • 60 g of sugar
  • 120 g of butter

Preparation sprinkles

Simply put all the ingredients together in a bowl and knead with the mixer or with your hands until there are some nice sprinkles.

Finish the cake

Afterwards approx. 9 large apples are peeled and cut into slices. The yeast dough is rolled out to a large rectangle and placed on a greased baking sheet. Now, the semolina porridge is spread on it and then distributed the apple slices. Finally, the sprinkles are given about it.

The cake is baked at 160 ° C for 30 minutes. I bake everything with hot air. Finally, some cinnamon is sprinkled on the baked cake.
