Cooking or baking time: 20 min.
Total preparation time: 40 min.

It does not always have to be the bread from the baker - and so you know what's inside (suitable for fructose intolerance)!

ingredients

  • 375 g wholemeal spelled flour (type 630)
  • 250 ml of lukewarm water
  • 1/2 cube of yeast
  • 1 tsp salt

preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in a cup with approximately 50 ml of lukewarm water.
  3. Then mix the flour with the remaining water, salt and the dissolved yeast for some time until a thick dough is formed. This is best left to go for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Now the rolls are either with moistened or flour-dusted hands shaped into about mandarin-sized rolls and placed on the plate.
  5. Now the buns are pushed into the oven without further let go to bake for 10 minutes at 250 degrees. Then adjust the oven to 200 degrees and bake again for 10 minutes - done!
  6. With a cup of water, which is placed in the bottom of the oven, the buns go up especially.

Another tip

If you do not want to be in the kitchen on Sunday morning and want to knead the dough, you can prepare it the night before. For this I use cold, rather than lukewarm water and leave the dough in a closed bowl overnight in the fridge.
