Karniyarik (Turkish specialty)

ingredients

  • 2 eggplants
  • 250 g minced meat
  • 2 onions
  • 1 pointed pepper
  • 2 fresh tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp red pepper (powder)
  • salt
  • Frying oil (for eggplants)

preparation

  1. Wash the aubergines, peel them, cut them in half at the top, fry them and then place them on the kitchen roll. Then the eggplants lose some oil.
  2. Fry the minced meat in the pan, add a little oil.
  3. Mince onions, peppers and mix with minced meat.
  4. Add salt, pepper and red pepper.
  5. Cut 2 fresh tomatoes into cubes and add to the mixture. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Put the aubergines in a deep baking pan. Press a bit in the middle of the eggplant. With a tablespoon you give the mixture to the eggplant.
  7. Mix 1 glass of water with tomato paste and then put on the eggplant. Bake 220 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
