Wash fruits and make them last longer
Fresh fruit is washed thoroughly with me immediately after purchase. Customers in the supermarket take it u. a. employees, too, when granting. In addition, my method leaves the fruit fresh, especially berries much longer.
I fill my sink (with plenty of fruit) or a large bowl halfway with lukewarm water and mix half a cup of white vinegar, then add the fruit and let it soak in it for about 10 minutes (berries slightly shorter - 5 minutes). Then I rinse off the fruit as usual with fresh water, no vinegar smell remains and especially the apples are freed from the usual wax layer and everything is fresh and clean.
