A complete meal on a skewer, side dish is not necessary, just a dip, maybe a mixed salad. That's how it works:

Cut 500 g of rump steak into thin slices, then cut into 5 cm squares - or have the butcher cut them. Press 3 garlic cloves, mix with 3 - 4 tablespoons of oil, 2 - 3 teaspoons of gyros spice, and half a teaspoon of chilli flakes, marinate the meat in it overnight.

Cut 5 tomatoes into slices, cut 1 flatbread into bite-sized pieces. Cut half a head of red cabbage into suitable pieces. Put the marinated meat alternately with the other ingredients on long (about 20 cm) skewers drizzle with a little marinade. Then roast all around in a pan or on the grill in about 10 - 15 minutes.

Enough for about 5 people. I admit, the preparation is a bit elaborate, but the food is worth it.
