Keep screws and nails clear
So you have all screws or nails well at a glance and no longer has to search for the right screw.
I always pick up old screws and nails, so before I throw away a piece of furniture, I screw everything that is out, or even with new furniture sometimes more than necessary in the packaging, which I always pick up.
Otherwise, I have stored them all in disorder in a huge tin can and always had to look for the right screw, which is fortunately over now.
I took a piece of styrofoam and put them all in order, then I tagged them and wrote down on a note sheet all the numbers and you size, so I can assign them well and does not have to rumkramen much longer in the tin to find them. The styrofoam I stow behind a dresser and the long search has an end.
