The following knowledge is necessary:
- casting on
- right mesh
- left mesh
- mesh increase:
in one row / round make an envelope and in the next row knit this envelope right crossed (i.e., turn the envelope once and smear right). The twisting of the thread does not create a hole. If you just knit the envelope without turning it first, it will result in a hole pattern that is not wanted here - knit together: Pierce in two stitches one at a time and knit both together
- cast offknit two loosely knit stitches and pull the first over the second, knit the third stitch loosely and pull the second over the third one.

Wool:
Knitting beginners take best thick wool (needle size 4-5). It is a mixture of wool and polyester. Pure wool scrubs too fast on socks or slippers. Instead of thick wool, a little more advanced can also double the thread of thin sock yarn. Not recommended for beginners, because you can easily dodge with the threads. I have taken mottled wool, the color change dark blue-light blue-white-gray is already given in the wool. You need about 100g of wool.
needles:
I prefer a needles game (5 needles) made of bamboo. It feels better in the hand and does not slip as easily out of the knitting as metal needles and does not break as easily as plastic needles.
Size:
The information applies to thick socks in shoe size 42 and wool in needle size 4-5.
