Make stars with cheap & beautiful paper: with wrapping paper

Christmas time is craft time. And I like to make folding stars. And in search of beautiful paper, one goes, of course, to the next paper business. But when I stood in front of the beautiful, colorful paper especially for folding stars, the price for me almost blew me away! I would have had to pay around seven leaflets for around 64 leaflets. And just two stars would have come out!

I went out without paper. But because I still had to get wrapping paper, I went to the next store and then I got the idea:

The wrapping paper looked so beautiful! I make my stars out of that! And that for just 59 cents the role.

So close to home nothing like ran! For this I have made a stencil out of cardboard (14x14 cm) and painted 30 squares on my beautiful paper. Cut out (that did not take long) and then started folding.

The folding works very well with the paper. The plug also, but since it is of course a bit smoother, it does not hold so much. That does not matter, because the finished star is still stable!

Finally tie a ribbon around a match, stick it in an opening and attach it. I still have some tape attached around the opening with the strap for stabilization.

My girlfriend came by and wanted to have such a nice star and asked where she could get the paper!

A little tip: For smaller stars are also great colorful notes!
