Nocturnal cough: Nasal drops help
I just have to realize that giving my daughter's (children's) nose drops does not mean that she has to cough all night! The cough reflex is triggered by the nasal secretions and when the flow is stopped, it can sleep much quieter! The tip I got during the mother-child-cure from the pediatrician.
Of course you have to check in advance with the doctor to see what kind of cough it is! I emphasize this explicitly, not that it comes to misunderstandings!
And it should always be the gentle nose drops for children! The nights are much quieter and during the day the sick child is a bit more rested! Try it!
