Peach Crumble

According to my cookbook, this peach crumble recipe has been "invented" by English housewives during the war: because there was too little flour due to food shortages, they simply made a "cake" without bottom. The result is a dessert that is cheap, super easy to make and quite delicious.

You need:

100 g of flour, 60 g of sugar, 60 g of cold butter and a little butter for the shape. If the butter is too hard, then simply grate with the cheese grater! 1 pinch of salt, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, a little lemon juice, 1 can of peaches, whipping cream.

That's how it's done:

Grease a fire-proof baking dish with butter. Quickly knead the flour with sugar, salt and cold butter into a crumbly dough. Wrap this tightly in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for a short time.

In the meantime, cut the peaches into small pieces, strain, sprinkle with lemon juice and sprinkle with the vanilla sugar.
Now get the dough out of the fridge and sprinkle over the peach pieces.

The crumble in a hot oven at 200 degrees about 20? Bake for 25 minutes. Do not get too brown.

Delicious to taste whole or semi-stiff whipped cream. Hmmmm!
