Plum dumplings

So, I have to publish my favorite food: plum dumplings. I hope I can explain it well, my first tip is here! The recipe is for 4 people.

  • 500 g of low-fat quark
  • 500g flour
  • about 40 grams of margarine
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg

filling

  • Plums (number depending on the amount of dumplings) (also with apricots, depending on the season!)
  • lump sugar

sauce

  • Butter (no margarine this time!)

preparation

  1. The quark and the flour are placed on a clean work surface. The margarine is distributed in small pieces on the quark flour mountain. Then there is a pinch of salt and an egg. Now the dough is kneaded. Initially difficult, but over time, the dough becomes a solid mass. When there are no small clumps left and the dough has a smooth texture, it's done.
  2. Wrap the finished dough in cling film and place in the fridge for about 30 minutes. (If you do not have time, you do not have to cool the dough, but it's better if you do.)
  3. Take the washed plums, cut them halfway, remove the kernel and fill the fruit with two pieces of sugar cubes. This is done with each of the plums.
  4. Now the dough is formed: Take a piece of dough away from the dough and form a flat surface. The stuffed plum is now placed on the dough, opening down and the dough is wrapped around the fruit. You can now make a dumpling with your hands. If there's too much dough, just tear it away.
  5. When all the dumplings are ready, add them to boiling water (in the water is a pinch of salt) and let them cook. After about 15 minutes the dumplings are ready.
  6. While the dumplings are in the water, you can already prepare the "sauce": just melt the butter, done :)
  7. The finished dumplings are eaten like this: cut into small pieces on the plate, sprinkle with sugar and then add the "butter sauce".
