Potato marzipan for pastry filling

Instead of almonds here is the base of cooked potatoes. With sugar and almond flavor, baked in puff pastry, the taste is very good.

Here is a recipe for potato marzipan. It tastes baked in puff pastry amazingly real!

The preparation is simple - and inexpensive it is still. Just try it!

ingredients

  • 500 g peeled floury potatoes
  • 300 g of powdered sugar
  • 2 tubes of baking almond almond

And so it goes

  1. Cook the peeled potatoes and press them through the potato press while they are still hot. Not in the food processor, this results in a very good glue for paper.
  2. Spread a fresh (yes, of course) tea towel on a tray and spread the potatoes on it. You have to dry for at least 4 hours.
  3. Then they are kneaded with the icing sugar and almond flavor. Now you can start baking right away.
  4. Cut the puff pastry into circles, place one tbsp in the middle. Maybe a slice of apple and a few raisins.
  5. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes.

You can also make marzipan potatoes - which fits very well - yourself. Roll balls out of the mass and roll them in cocoa.

However, these sweets do not last as long as real marzipan. So nothing for the Christmas stock - after 3 - 4 days you should have used them up.
