Regrow salad

You can regrow salad (all leafy lettuce) at home. I did not think so, but it works very well!

That's how it's done:

From a head of lettuce, the stalk (cut off the salad about 5 cm at the end) is placed in a jar of water. The stalk does not have to be completely covered, about half of the stalk should be in the water.

Replace the water every few days, especially in summer, when it is warm, make sure every day that the stalk is always in the water.

Picture 3 shows the stalk, or the already regrown salad, after about a week.

Picture 4 shows that the salad also gets roots, so you could now plant it in soil.

Figure 5 shows roughly how big the stem was.

Pictures 1, 2, 6 show the salad after about two weeks.

A short, but really good tip I think. He came from a friend, she has also provided the photos.
