Remove fresh urine stains from the mattress

After learning about the mishap this morning, I removed the bedding and put it in the washing machine. But the mattress, a futon, had a large urine stain. I thought that I could throw it away. Since I remembered the cat scattering tips of FM.

I have often used the tip with the sneakers lately, when the boys came home from football in the rain, so why not use cat litter against human urine, cat urine stinks even more extreme. So I spread a thick layer of cat litter on the futon. It was lumpy litter "with fresh scent", maybe it works with other.
When I saw the futon again tonight, I was totally surprised. I was able to sweep the litter with the hand brush. There had been no lumps, and the futon underneath was not only dry, but smelled like freshly washed. It had not even stayed a spot. Brilliant!
