Remove lime from glass shower cubicles with wet sandpaper

My panes of glass were so heavily soiled with lime that no chemistry helped anything. I was already thinking about spraying the discs with matt clearcoat. You could tell the difference with a sponge very nice: From the outside, the slices were absolutely smooth, from the inside rough.

So I put a piece of 600 wet sandpaper on the sponge and sanded the disc circular with a lot of water. After about 10 minutes of work, the lime has largely disappeared. There are no visible scratches or cloudiness! Such a sandpaper is also used for high-gloss polishing. But please wet and do not use on plastic discs! Try it on a lower, less visible spot, then you will see the success.
