Sew up the patch easily

It is easy to sew on patches without attaching them with stitches. If you want to sew on a frayed children pants a patch, then this is actually how it works:

Fix the patch with large stitches, then sew with the machine. You can save yourself the first step if you stick the patch all around with small pieces of transparent adhesive tape. About every 3 cm a little bit of it. If the patch sits undamaged, put the pants under the sewing machine and start sewing. Afterwards you can easily tear off the pieces of glue.

Incidentally, this also works if you, for example, for a Christmas decoration, would like to sew on a narrow Dekoband.
Stick on with short tape strips, sew on directly, tear off.
