Shower curtain hung on tub over corner
After moving to the new apartment, we had the problem that we wanted to hang a shower curtain on the bathtub. Unfortunately we now have - in contrast to the old apartment - two open sides. So a solution had to be made "over the corner".
Since the commercially available pipe systems at the "free" corner anyway have to be fixed from above but have the disadvantage that they rust easily and are also to be obtained only in certain dimensions, we have opted for the "wire rope solution".
Wire rope system for hanging curtains (eg hardware store or Aldi offer) attached to both sides as normal. With enclosed angles and a screw a Y-piece for attachment to the ceiling shaped. The wire rope still at the corner with a small metal tube (bent accordingly, as scrubbing protection of the wire rope) provided.
Drilling, fixing, determining the rope length, shortening the wire rope, tensioning - done. Bath stays dry, family is happy.
