The simplest wholemeal bread in the world - without walking time

Baking bread is an art in itself and the end product provides culinary delight when you take the time to learn the craft to perfection. In the past, I was deterred by complicated descriptions and long walks and preferred to buy from the bakery. But with this recipe every bread succeeds and it is made so fast that the way to the bakery is no longer worthwhile. The bread is super juicy, easily varied by different types of grains and flour and lasts a good week.

ingredients

  • 500 g spelled wholemeal flour
  • 150-200 g of grains and seeds
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 500 ml of water
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup TL brown sugar or coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 cube of yeast

The flour can of course be varied, I taste spelled the best - but also a mixture of rye and spelled flour is very delicious. I prefer to take 50 g each of ground flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. If you like, you can also add walnuts for a nutty note.

  1. Put the lukewarm water in a jar, add vinegar and sugar.
  2. Crumble the yeast into the water and stir well with a fork until no more chunks are left, then set the bowl aside.
  3. Lay out a baking pan with parchment paper.
  4. In a large bowl mix flour, grains and salt.
  5. Add the liquid to the dry ingredients and mix with a fork until a sticky dough is formed.
  6. Put the dough in the pan and smooth.
  7. The dough does not have to go, but is placed directly in the cold oven on the middle rail.
  8. Bake the bread at 200 ° C top and bottom heat for 60 minutes.
  9. After that, the bread should absolutely cool for 2-3 hours before it is cut.
