Use timers & socket strips with switch

Have a good and with little effort associated tip to save money on electricity costs.

Use timers! The watches are available for a few euros to buy and they can save a lot of money. By now, even the fridge and the freezer are attached to a timer! Since these devices have been designed so that they can maintain their temperature for several hours despite power failure, they can be safely removed from the power for 2 hours. The refrigerator then runs e.g. 4 hours and then switched off for 2 hours. The temperature does not change unless you open the door permanently.

Also, pond pumps, outdoor lighting and similar things can be connected to a timer without problems and then do not eat uninterrupted the already much too expensive electricity.

You can even install timers directly in the electricity box (let) and control it, for example, the exterior lighting.

Another way to save a lot of money are power strips with switch. So all devices with standby function can be switched off with a button. And thanks to the invention of the remote control, there are now even remote-controlled power strips. Hard-to-reach things can then be plugged into such a bar and switched with the remote control. Of course, it is also very practical for the lazybones among us ;-) In our home there is hardly any device without a switch or timer. Why should I chase my sour money through the sockets?
