Delicious sage walnuts as a Christmas party gift
- 100g sugar
- 4 tablespoons water
- Boil together in the pot
- Remove the pot from the oven
- Stir in 200g of walnuts
- Chop 7 sage leaves
- stir under the walnuts
- Put the pot back on the stove and stir again for 1 minute.
- Spread on a greased baking tray to dry.
Packed in pretty bags, this is a fine nibble for Christmas. (The best way to prepare double the amount, because you pretty much nibble something yourself;)
For children, this recipe is very popular because cracking nuts is fun!
