Why it pays to go shopping in Poland
Why it pays me to drive an hour and a half into a border town with a thriving Polish market? Because there is a lot cheaper than ours! And others also know that or why are there so many Swiss confederates coming to Germany at the moment?
Examples like?
- 3 packs Bengay pain relieving cream (not greasy) cost in Germany for the 42, - Euro. In Poland, 50g 3 packs of Bengay analgesic cream currently cost around 13, - to 15 euros.
- Bepanthen baby 100 g in Germany cost around 16 euros in Poland for the 10 euros.
- A hairdresser visit for a woman, dyeing with highlights, plus haircutting (dry) for two men together (so for all three) with tips around 60 euros.
- Gasoline Super the liter is currently 20 euro cents cheaper than in Germany.
- Then I bought some real leather gloves + a felt hat for together (super quality) for a total of 24 euros.
- Also cheese, butter, bread and cake are very cheap.
- Finally, I bought 500 g of Eduscho coffee vacuum-packed for 2.50 euros. You can choose between 3 varieties.
- No smoking, but also cigarettes, are really cheaper there than in Germany.
Oh yes, these offers are, I believe, only found in border villages with a thriving market. In Polish cities, the situation certainly looks quite different with regard to the prices I have described.
Maybe you have similar experiences with countries near the border? I would be very happy if you would communicate.
