Advent box for several children

Today I also try a hint and hope I do everything right.

We have 3 children and I was the excessive and time-consuming calendar-tinkering at some point too expensive, as I was a little tense time. In addition, I have always had a problem with the finish calendars that the individual containers were often just too small for me.

That's when I came up with the saving idea that we have maintained for several years at the request of our children:

All the little things came in present gift bags, Advent boxes or were simply wrapped in wrapping paper. Then a big box wrapped in Christmas paper (which still stands today with the Christmas stuff in the basement).

The individual packages all got a long curling ribbon - each child a unique color! - and then all the parcels in the box, while hanging the ribbon long over the edge of the cardboard.

They were sorted by color only, so everyone had their packages in one corner and no stress could arise. All Bändel then, as a sausage twisted, so that no one could fumble (yeah ... well that was of course tried) and select in advance what you want to have the next morning.

Every morning everyone was queuing up in front of the box to slowly pull a ribbon out of the box. The tension was always huge because there was no fixed sequence with Nümmerchen. So one got something sweet, the next a tatoo and the third perhaps a radio play cassette.

The nice thing was that at the beginning everyone was astonished to see how much was in there (logically - 72 packages every year) and the knowledge that this box would be completely distributed to them. Of course perfectly fair - only when someone pulls what was destiny. Pure tension, I can only say!

Somehow I miss this time a little ... * sigh *
