I baked this mishmash cake spontaneously, with things that had to be processed slowly, such as fallen apples from the orchard, quark, which soon expired, and poppy from the last Easter baking marathon.

So I have so freely muzzled the ingredients together. Should anyone find this cake on the net, it would be pure coincidence, because it sprang from my imagination. But nothing is impossible, as you know. Here we go.

ingredients

For the dough

  • 300 g of flour
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 250 g neutral oil
  • 1 baking powder
  • 2 vanilla sugar

For the filling

  • about 8 apples
  • 1 pck of baking poppy
  • 500 g of low-fat quark
  • 1 custard powder
  • Sugar to taste

preparation

  1. Make a sponge cake from the ingredients mentioned and place in a greased 28 springform pan.
  2. Peel the apples, cut into cubes, drizzle with a little lemon.
  3. Mix the quark, poppy seeds, custard powder and sugar and fold in the apple cubes.
  4. Spread the mixture on the dough and bake in the oven for about 1 hour at 150 degrees. I have the apples on top a bit dark, so in time with foil above cover.
  5. After baking, allow the cake to cool slightly in the oven that has been turned off. Only after cooling, loosen the molding ring, sprinkle with powdered sugar and feed.

With custard or cream hmmm ... yummy!
