Bath mats cheaper
Since bath or shower mats are quite expensive in our region, I take the "bathing rugs" (see picture), - which are not intended as a use in the bath / shower tray - as a substitute.
In contrast to the expensive version with suction cups and rectangular shape, I find this cheaper version better. For many reasons:
- The mat does not slip, it stays in place even without suction cups. The ones with suction cups sometimes even slip off, especially when they get wet.
- The bath rugs are softer and you can not feel the suckers under your feet, as with the more expensive parts, which become thinner and thinner over time.
- You get these "carpets" almost everywhere, partly white, they are also offered as a white role for Geschirraufbewarung and for self-cutting. Especially discount stores, they always have it in stock, all vorran kik.
- They are cheaper by several euros, with us around 6 euros.
- They are available in all sorts of colors and shapes. (The expensive ones from hardware stores are mostly square and kept in basic colors)
- They are light and you can hang them wonderfully to dry. (the expensive ones with the suckers are somehow always so bulky)
- Through the holes in the "carpets", they are hygienically better than the ones with the suction cups, which after a time (in my case also with good airing and getting dry) black spots and grease around the suction cups.
I hope the tip has saved you some money and you enjoy it!
