So, do not dig up, but cut off with a sharp knife below the leaves.
After the root remains in the earth, it will drive out again.
Around the interface, new, small cabbages are forming, which may well make a meal.
This works with cabbage, red cabbage, savoy cabbage, cauliflower. And broccoli anyway.
