ingredients
- a cauliflower
- a cup of cream
- Salt and a little lemon juice
- 2-3 slices of Gouda cheese
- 2 eggs
- a refractory vessel (baking dish)
preparation
- Cut the cauliflower in the middle and remove the stem.
- Place the cauliflower florets in salted water for half an hour so that no insects are boiled.
- Cut the Gouda cheese into small pieces.
- Cook the cauliflower in salted water for about 20 minutes.
- Heat the cream slowly and add the gouda pieces. Heat the whole until a creamy mass has formed.
- Separate the eggs, add some lemon juice and salt to the egg white and beat to a stiff mass.
- Drain the cauliflower florets and place in a fireproof mold.
- Lift the egg whites under the cheese-cream mixture, then pour over the cauliflower.
- Put the casserole dish in the preheated oven and cook until the top is nice and golden.
