ingredients

  • a cauliflower
  • a cup of cream
  • Salt and a little lemon juice
  • 2-3 slices of Gouda cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • a refractory vessel (baking dish)

preparation

  1. Cut the cauliflower in the middle and remove the stem.
  2. Place the cauliflower florets in salted water for half an hour so that no insects are boiled.
  3. Cut the Gouda cheese into small pieces.
  4. Cook the cauliflower in salted water for about 20 minutes.
  5. Heat the cream slowly and add the gouda pieces. Heat the whole until a creamy mass has formed.
  6. Separate the eggs, add some lemon juice and salt to the egg white and beat to a stiff mass.
  7. Drain the cauliflower florets and place in a fireproof mold.
  8. Lift the egg whites under the cheese-cream mixture, then pour over the cauliflower.
  9. Put the casserole dish in the preheated oven and cook until the top is nice and golden.
