Chili con carne with beans and corn

ingredients

  • 500 g mixed hack
  • 1 large tin of peeled tomatoes in tomato juice
  • 2 cans of kidney beans
  • 1 can of corn
  • more or less fresh chili peppers, finely chopped, as desired
  • 4 toes of garlic
  • 2 onions
  • tomato paste
  • Any amount of herbs, e.g. Italian

preparation

  1. Let a large pot of olive oil get hot.
  2. Fry the minced meat in it crumbly.
  3. Fry the chopped onions, garlic and chillies.
  4. Season with pepper and some of the herbs.
  5. Then add the tomatoes and bring to a boil.
  6. The poured beans and the corn in addition.
  7. Now simmer for at least 2 hours over medium heat and at the end bind with tomato paste to the desired consistency. If it gets too dry, just add some water.
  8. In the end, season with salt and pepper and, if necessary, even more chilli and especially the herbs.

Important: only salt at the end otherwise the beans are not really soft.

This fits very well rice or fresh baguette. It tastes best the next day warmed up.
