Ceramic pan: pan test

In the past few days I had the opportunity to try out a ceramic pan as a test device of the company Trendshop LTD and gain my professional experience with it.

The ceramic pan is a model with 24 cm diameter and promises diverse and easy-care methods of work in the kitchen. Due to its construction it is suitable for all heat sources. So also for cooking on the promising induction hobs.

With 915 g weight makes the pan a solid impression and fits well in the hand. The comparison to frequently offered cheap products made of aluminum which often have deformations after a short time, so this type of pan does not need to be afraid.

The stem of the frying pan can be removed by pressing a button and allows more space on the stove or is thus easy to push into the oven. However, a certain amount of play - slight wobbling - remains between the handle and the pan, but this does not affect the function negatively.

The pan is equipped with a knobbed structure both on the floor and inside. The ceramic coating promises a low-fat roast. My experience in the preparation of egg dishes showed that although it can be done without any fat, but in the future I still use a small amount of fat and will recommend. This is intended primarily to serve as a separating or sliding layer between the pan and the food to be cooked.

A pancake phenomenon is that dark pans tan better than light pans. This phenomenon seems to be confirmed here. Roast meat seems to brown even slower in my test example. However, this phenomenon plays a subordinate role in egg dishes or vegetable processing.

According to the manufacturer's label, all types of kitchen cutlery can be used in the pan - with the recommendation! Non-metallic kitchen appliances to use. I would also like to join this recommendation. Because from my experience as a chef I know only too well that it depends for a long-term reliability to have a scratch-free as possible pan bottom. During the testing phase, I did not want to run the risk of making scratches with knives or metal spatulas, which could not be removed.

The cleaning effort with commercial detergents is extremely low. Even a quick intermediate cleaning with kitchen paper is done quickly and easily. However, the previous use of a small film of grease also pays off here. The small layer of fat can also determine whether the right temperature is reached (at about 180 ° C, small bubbles form on the wooden spoon).

Speaking of being paid, the company offers a 60-day money-back guarantee on the pans for this pan.

All in all, after this test I am convinced that I have a thoroughly recommendable solid pan, which is very well suited to modern, gentle types of cooking and is suitable for all modern types of preparation in the pan.
