marinade

  • 250 ml of rum
  • 750 ml Cola (preferably Coca-Cola please no Zero)
  • 300 ml ketchup (preferably Heinz)
  • 1-2 splashes Tabasco
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed through
  • 4 tablespoons of hoisin sauce

Mix all ingredients for the marinade in a bowl. Place the ribs in a non-metallic container, pour over the marinade and place in the refrigerator overnight.

Preheat oven to 200 ° C top and bottom heat (without circulating air). Put the meat on a baking sheet in the oven and after 5 minutes reduce the temperature to 150 ° C. Cook the ribs for another 40-50 minutes, turning every 15 minutes and painting with the marinade on both sides. The ribs should finally be cooked through, caramelized all around and well browned.
