Continue to use the Christmas tree as a food tree for birds
Christmas is over and you make the Knut out of the house, down from the balcony! But stop: The birds are happy about a feed tree and you about the little visitors.
If the tree is small, like mine, you can put it in a balcony box first. Then I attached the tree to our awning rod with a cable tie. At drugstore chains or hardware stores one receives food assortments in networks. These then simply bind to the branches. Finished!
So you enjoy your tree even longer and the birds thank you. When winter is over, you cut off all the branches, saw the trunk and feed the oven or fire bowl with it.
