Hard tiles e.g. Drill stoneware relatively easily with a glass drill

If you have problems in hard tiles (porcelain stoneware) to drill, you can use a glass drill. This has only at the drill tip a Sperrförmige cutting edge. With this one can then drill relatively easily in the tile. I recommend a 5mm drill. This does not glow so fast. Once there is a hole in the tile, you can easily drill it up with a normal stone bur. Best in small steps. 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, etc. The speed should not be too high. I always use a cordless screwdriver. Then use a regular drill behind the tile.

Glass drills can be found in specialist shops and also in the hardware store. A drill costs currently. about 3-4 euros.
