Discreet appealing tableware is not announced and it also has to go without frills. What suits better than kale stuffed with kale pockets, which can be eaten even without a lot of dishes times in between.

Of course, there is also the usual ingredient: Spicy Mettwurst.

Here is the recipe for savory kale:

Ingredients (4 people)

  • 1 kg of fresh kale
  • Smoked 1 kg smoked salmon (boneless)
  • 1 kg of small potatoes
  • 5 onions
  • 1/4 vegetable stock
  • 3 tbsp hot mustard
  • 2 slices cut in not too thin slices
  • Salt pepper
  • Fat for frying (preferably clarified butter, goose fat)
  • 1 pinch of sugar

  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into very small cubes and cook.
  2. Read the kale, wash several times and let it collapse in a pot of boiling water.
  3. Drain thoroughly in a colander and chop.
  4. Peel the onion, cut into slices and brown in butter lard / goose lard.
  5. Season with mustard, salt and pepper.
  6. Fill kale with 1/4 liter vegetable stock, cook for about 30 minutes.
  7. After half of the cooking time, add the sliced ​​Mettwurst.
  8. Also warm the salmon in the vegetables, remove them after heating.
  9. Stir in the cooked potatoes, lightly stomp (the sausage does not harm).
  10. The Kassler after heating with butterfly cut (this does not cut 2 slices completely through, so that a bag can be filled) divide.
