Hot Chocolate Raspberry Meringue Dessert

You can use stale bread rolls very versatile, but packed so delicious, as in this hot dessert, they are barely recognizable: A hot pudding with crispy meringue, which tastes very chocolaty and that from ingredients from the pantry.

For the chocolate layer:
- 2 stale rolls (alternatively about 100 g breadcrumbs)
- 50 g baking cocoa or dark chocolate in small pieces
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp butter
- 500 ml of boiling water
- 2 egg yolks
For the raspberry layer:
- 2-3 tablespoons raspberry jam or a handful of fresh / frozen raspberries
For the meringue layer:
- 2 egg whites
- 100 g of sugar
preparation
- Preheat oven to 150 degrees.
- Roughly dice the stale rolls and place in a bowl.
- Add the cocoa, vanilla sugar, sugar and butter.
- Pour over the boiling water and stir.
- Soak for a few minutes.
- Then with the blender everything well shredded and mix. (if necessary add more sugar to taste)
- Separate the eggs and stir two egg yolks under the chocolate mixture
- Put the mixture in a casserole dish and place in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Beat egg white with 100 g sugar until stiff.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven.
- Distribute raspberries or raspberry jam on top.
- Add eggshell over the raspberries.
- Put in the oven for another 30 minutes.
Serve the dessert hot. Enough for 4-6 persons.
Tip: If you want a crispy meringue layer, you should choose a bowl that is as flat as possible. If you want a foamy eggshell, choose a bowl with a smaller surface.
