Make ice lights

As a child, we always made ice lights in the winter. As temperatures are currently well below 0 ° C (at least at night), it's easy.

This is how the ice lights are made:

  1. A normal big bucket (with small sandbox buckets there is a risk that it freezes) fill with water and put out. The duration depends of course on the outside temperatures. I've had mine out for 12 hours.
  2. To get the ice out of the bucket, either work on the sink / sink or outside. But not right in front of the door, as the rest of the water gives you a skating rink in front of the door!
  3. Invert buckets and let the ice slip out carefully. The top layer of ice would have to be thin enough to knock. It may also be that it rises immediately when taking out.
  4. Pour away the water from the middle. Now only rausstellen and a candle in.
  5. If you want to experiment, you can also make the lights colorful. To do this, only mix food coloring into the water.
