Office: replace the adhesive strip

To quickly and easily transfer document bundles from one binding strip to another without "losing" a hole, I have pre-drilled a thin strip twice at a distance of approx. 80 mm and inserted two long nails through the holes (Fig. 1) ,

The old tape is opened and the nails are inserted through the punched holes along the metal tongues from above (picture 2), then the whole thing is turned over (picture 3) and the old tape is removed (picture 4).

Along the nails can now be pushed through the tongues of the new tape (Figure 5), remove bar, close the tape (Figure 6) - voila!

I built this little help in about a few minutes about 15 years ago - but it saved me (felt) 30 years ago.
