pear compote

Mr. Ribeck von Ribeck in Havelland, a pear tree in his garden stood, mine is in neighbor's garden!
ingredients
- 1 kg of pears
- 500 ml of water
- 2 vanilla sugar
- 2-3 tbsp sugar
- Cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon (or both)
- 2-3 cloves
preparation
- Peel the pears, quarter, core, cut small.
- Boil water, vanilla sugar, sugar, cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon (or both) and cloves together and then add the pears.
- Approximately Simmer for 10 minutes. Always depends on the degree of ripeness of the pears.
- Then add 4 tablespoons of lemon juice.
My husbands like it fresh and sweet, so the compote is today with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
The rest I filled into small glasses with screw cap. Turned upside down, they are always available again ... for small sweet cravings in between, or as a side dish to rice pudding, semolina pudding, etc. ...
Ps. Since I personally absolutely nothing sweet, I cook "my compote" only with a little water and a little white wine.
Then a dash of cream on it, mmmmh. Unfortunately, I had already taken the pictures, now I can not put them in here anymore ... and everything is already eaten!
