Plum poppy seed cake baked on the plate

Plum cake is always the hit, together with poppy it tastes unusual. He is very juicy and easy to make. And you get full, too, the nutty poppy brings it!

The cake consists of three layers:

  1. Below a Quarkölteig
  2. then a cooked poppy pudding
  3. on top of plums - 3 pounds for a sheet

Ingredients for the Quarkölteig:


  • 200 g quark
  • 300 g of flour
  • 1/2 baking powder packets
  • 6 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 70 g of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt

This dough is kneaded together and must rest in the refrigerator until the pudding is ready.

For the poppy pudding, cook together as follows:

  • 1/2 l of milk
  • 200 g of poppy
  • 150 g semolina
  • 100 g of butter
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation:

  1. Carefully bring to a boil - so that nothing burns.
  2. After cooling, stir in two eggs.
  3. Now a baking sheet is filled with paper with the Qarkölteig.
  4. Then the poppy pudding is distributed.
  5. On the top come the plums - for a baking sheet, I pounded 3 pounds and taken out the worms. I have halved them with the inside up.
  6. Now the cake is baked for about 50 minutes at 180 degrees, maybe a little longer.
  7. If you want, you can still warmly distribute cinnamon sugar on the cake.
  8. It tastes a lot of whipped cream.
