pork gratin

ingredients

For 4 people:

  • 6 pork schnitzel
  • 2 slices of Black Forest ham (about 0.5 cm thick) (Alternatively, other heavily smoked ham)
  • 2 slices of cooked ham (about 0.5 cm thick)
  • 2 cups of sweet cream
  • 1 baking dish with glass lid

preparation

Cut the pork cut in half. Dice the Black Forest ham and boiled ham. Fan the 12 pieces of Schnitzel in a fan shape into the baking dish. Please do not salt or pepper anymore. Otherwise it would be too salty.

Distribute the ham and boiled ham cubes evenly.

Pour the two cups of cream over it. Put glass lid on and put in the fridge for one night. The meat now takes on the salt content of the ham and is wonderfully tender due to the cream. The next day slide into the cold oven (otherwise the glass will burst) and heat the oven to 200 degrees. Bake the casserole for 1 1/2 hours. It tastes fresh baguette to make it fast.

You can also serve the dish with rice, french fries or croquettes.
