Prepare couscous

At TheFruitAndFlowerBasket you can already read how to cook noodles, potatoes and rice. Couscous may not be one of those classic side dishes, but has long since developed into my kitchen and should not be missed here, I think.

I think that's great stuff, because you do not even need a stove for it. Anyone who has the opportunity, it should buy the way, in Turkish grocery stores, for the same price, I received there twice as large pack as in my standard supermarket (price: 2.49 euro / kg at the Turk, / 500g at the supermarket, as of May 2010 ).

The preparation is very simple:

Lightly salt a few couscous (a friend still adds a dash of oil and a splash of zirton juice) and cover with the same amount of boiling water, let draw, loosen with two forks after 5 minutes (if you forget, this is not the end of the world ), after 10 minutes the couscous has absorbed all the water and is ready to serve.

I especially like to serve it with vegetable pans and often use it if you would otherwise have used noodles or rice as a side dish.

Also for camping / in the hotel room / in the office handy (because I like to make me just a beef broth ausm die and hauh a few tablespoons couscous into the cup).
