Protect wood permanently

To permanently protect wood, it should first be treated with an impregnating primer (Capacryl wood protection primer) from the outside.

This impregnation protects the wood from fungal attack, insect infestation, wood blight and rot. The impregnation should be colorless in any case, as it can then penetrate deep into the wood.

So-called combination materials are not recommended, as the pigmented glazes prevent the deep penetration of the impregnation!

After impregnation of the wood, the wood must be protected from UV radiation. Covering paints or thin-layer glazes with corresponding color pigments are used for this purpose.

The darker a wood stain, the better the protection against UV radiation, a final filter is recommended Laszurich (F7 Langzeitlasur).

If there is no or too little UV protection, the wood becomes gray.
