Red cabbage (red cabbage) marinated
Red cabbage marinated (without fat)
ingredients
- 1 small red cabbage
- 3-4 apples depending on size
- 1 L of orange juice (best freshly pressed or bought with pulp)
- 1 small glass of lemon juice
- a bit of salt
- brown cane sugar
- red wine
preparation
Red cabbage and apples finely grated and marinate with a little salt in orange and lemon juice (preferably in the freezer bag) for 4-5 days.
Turn the freezer bag daily. Put the cabbage on a colander and catch the marinade. Caramelise the cane sugar in the pot and deglaze with red wine. Add the cabbage and add some marinade.
The cabbage gets a shiny red color and fits perfectly as a fine (fat-free) side dish.
