Relieve back pain - fascia, step position and more

Back pain can make life a real hell for you! I can sing a song of it, was chronically painful for 10 years. Two OPs after mass prolapse (L4 / L5, L5 / S1) brought no relief. Medical odysseys, therapies, medications, to the point of morphine, the pain remained.

Manual therapy can help

I've never given up, always browsed forums and stumbled in the course of my search, inter alia, on "Liebscher-Bracht". The book "The Pain Code" has made a lot of things clear to me, which I had previously only guessed. At some point I found a clinic that worked with manual therapy: the KMT Hamm (is ergooglen too). There, the connective tissue was "broken injected" and rebuilt by means of injected sugar solution. The connective tissue sticks together in the course of pain and the associated cramps, so that even if the pain itself were less, the bonded connective tissue in turn pushes back the vicious circle.

Parallel to the injections there were physiotherapy, but preferably quite "small" exercises that strengthen the fascia. These minimus muscles sit between the individual vertebrae and provide the actual stabilization of the vertebrae.

In addition, fango and massages u.v.m., what else is known from classical rehab. Afterwards it was said at home, "to keep your feet still" for 6 weeks, ie: no violent movements and actions as the connective tissue builds up again during this time.

For me in the times was always particularly helpful, the step position, but may also depend on what is actually "in trouble". For me, the classic sciatic syndrome was pain in the lower leg. Since the step situation relieved very much.

To do this, lie back on the floor (possibly underlaid with a blanket or mattress) and place the lower legs on a chair or sofa, in such a way that the Po almost "docks" on the sofa, while the lower legs lie on the seat. In most cases, the legs are bent at twice the right angle: once 90 ° lower leg to thigh, and again 90 ° thigh to lower body.

Now relax with some cool music and focus on deep breaths. In this way, the pain can even breathe away (during intensive training).

What else helped me

  • TENS unit
  • pulsating magnetic field (there's a small, not even cellphone-sized device to strap on)
  • Acupuncture (make sure they really can!)
  • osteopathy
  • personality development
  • Focus shift (train appreciation and happiness, there is still enough to be grateful and happy for)

P.S .: By the KMT Hamm I was completely pain-free for the first time in 10 years! That is now 5 years ago and remained so with a few exceptions.

Meanwhile, I live in Spain, I am independent and also very grateful to have had so much "leisure" in the time of chronic pain, to be able to deal extensively with my personality development. For me an important building block, because diseases are in my opinion a physical expression of the soul that something is not going in the right direction.

I wish you all painless or -lose times!
