Repair irrigator ("Braun-Murks")
Many fellow sufferers complain about the botch in Braun-Mundduschen: breaking the Platikschlauches. Original price of the device: about 80 Euro. Repair of the hose about 60 euros.
Not with me!
Here is my recipe for sensitive home improvement:
- Carefully pry off the rubber cover of the slide switch, disengage the slide switch below in the lower switch position.
- Carefully pry the bottom plate of the handpiece between the outer shell and the base plate on the side flanks with a thin screwdriver (the base plate is slightly grooved on each side)
- The inner part can now easily pull out.
- Carefully lift off the white hose cuff (lift it!), Then pry away the remaining hose.
- Cut the hose straight with a utility knife, push on the cuff, if necessary, widen the hose slightly in a funnel shape with a ballpoint pen refill, then push it powerfully but carefully (otherwise splice it!) Onto the small ribbed plastic nozzle. Slide the cuff over it. The entire inner part can now be inserted into the outer shell, paying attention to lateral guide rails. Base plate engages with a click.
- Insert plastic slider in lower switch position, press anatomically correct rubber plate.
